John's bags may have been packed but mine aren't quite yet. I am still using my pack for some training hikes but I am packing it all up today. My guest room looks like REI burst inside it. How is this all going to fit in my bag and more importantly, how am I gonna pack all this crap for 200 miles??? As our departure day gets nearer, I find myself second guessing the packing list that Tootsie and I (well mostly Tootsie here!!!) put together. I've already added a poncho, an extra set of socks, and a pair of sleeping shorts!! I'm getting lots of advice on more stuff to as as well. My pile just keeps getting bigger!!
This blog is about two friends adventures that we have taken together. Be it running, hiking, family/friends or where ever the rabbit hole we have ventured down takes us. Follow us as we live life the best way we know how through planned and organized chaos.

All my bags are packed, I'm ready to go
I thought a little John Denver would be appropriate for our travel to Appalachia on Tuesday!!! I can't believe we leave so soon!! Can't wait!

But where do I stop? Should I bring more clothes in case we get rained on? More fuel in case we use too much between stops? Different types of bug spray? When I start down this rabbit hole, I feel like well why not add a hand blender or a cheese straightener while I'm at it!!! Ha! I just need to stick to my list and if I don't have it, I don't need it. We aren't going to have all the luxuries of staying at home, and I don't think that is the point of this trip anyway. I hope that once we are out there, we will be glad we stuck to the bare(ish) necessities.
